IT STARTED WITH A SIMPLE QUESTION: “WHAT IF THERE’S A BETTER WAY?”
In the early 2000s, patients with persistent or chronic pain had limited options.
Traditional physiotherapy helped some.
Surgery helped others.
But for many—especially those with stubborn tendon issues, long-standing muscle tension, or conditions that just wouldn’t respond—the answer was often “learn to live with it.”
Dynamic Physiotherapy was founded on a simple refusal to accept that answer.
ALBERTA’S SHOCKWAVE THERAPY PIONEERS
Providing A Better Way.
That search for better results led us to shockwave therapy—a treatment showing remarkable outcomes in Europe but still unknown in Alberta at the time.
We became the first clinic in the province to offer it.
In those early days, Steve traveled across Alberta—working with doctors, podiatrists, and their patients—because access to this technology was so limited.
He’d drive hours to treat people who’d tried everything else without success.
Word spread.
Results followed.
PUTTING DOWN ROOTS IN OKOTOKS
In 2004, Steve opened Dynamic Physiotherapy's Okotoks clinic—not as a satellite office, but as a permanent home.
The decision wasn't just professional—it was personal.
Steve and his family moved to Okotoks because they believed in being part of the same community they served.
His daughters grew up playing Okotoks minor hockey. Friendships formed—many beginning as patient-therapist relationships and growing into genuine connections.
Over 20 years, those roots have only deepened.
