APPOINTMENTS AND GETTING STARTED
Your first appointment is designed to give you clarity, relief, and a clear path forward. Here's exactly what happens:
Before You Arrive: We'll send you a secure online intake form that you can complete at your convenience from home. This saves time and lets you thoughtfully share your health history. If you prefer, you can also arrive 10-15 minutes early to complete the paperwork in our office.
What to Bring:
- Your insurance card (if you'd like us to process direct billing)
- A list of any current medications or relevant medical imaging/reports
- Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows easy movement (shorts for knee/hip issues, tank top for shoulder problems, athletic wear for back/neck)
Your Assessment (45-60 Minutes): Your therapist will begin with a detailed medical history, where you'll have time to explain your pain, concerns, and goals. This isn't rushed—we genuinely want to understand your story and what getting better looks like for you.
Next, we'll perform a comprehensive physical examination, assessing your movement, strength, posture, and joint function. We'll identify exactly what's causing your pain and how different areas of your body may be contributing to the problem.
Clear Explanation & Treatment Plan: Your therapist will explain their findings in plain language—no confusing medical jargon. You'll understand what's wrong, why it's happening, and how we'll fix it. We'll outline a personalized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs and recovery goals.
Treatment Begins Right Away: Unlike some clinics that only assess on the first visit, we start hands-on treatment the same day. Depending on your condition, this may include manual therapy, joint mobilization, soft tissue work, IMS (dry needling), or other techniques.
What You'll Leave With:
- A clear understanding of your condition and treatment plan
- Home exercises or strategies to begin right away (when appropriate)
- Confidence that you're on the right path to recovery
- Your next appointment scheduled (if needed)
Insurance & Billing: If you've provided your insurance information, we'll handle direct billing to most major providers—so there's no paperwork hassle for you.
No referral is needed. You can book directly with us anytime — online or by phone. (Some insurance plans require a doctor’s note for reimbursement — we can help confirm that.)

Usually not. We’ll show you how to modify activities so you stay active safely — movement is part of recovery.
