CONCUSSION SYMPTOMS THAT WON'T GO AWAY
Most people expect concussion symptoms to fade after a week or two. But for many, the fog lingers—headaches, dizziness, fatigue, poor concentration, or that "not quite right" feeling that just won't go away.
Common symptoms: Headaches or pressure • Dizziness or balance problems • Light/noise sensitivity • Blurred vision or difficulty focusing • Fatigue, irritability, or poor sleep • Difficulty concentrating or remembering
You've rested. You've waited. You may have even been told to "just give it more time."
Here's what we know now: Rest alone isn't enough. The most effective concussion recovery combines rest, assessment, and guided, progressive activity.
HOW CONCUSSION TREATMENT & REHAB WORKS
We start by identifying which systems were affected by your concussion — because every concussion is different.
Our treatment plans address the specific areas involved:
✓ Vestibular (inner ear) system — balance, dizziness, motion sensitivity
✓ Visual system — focus, tracking, eye strain
✓ Neck (cervical) function — stiffness, headaches, referred symptoms
✓ Cognitive & physical tolerance — activity progression and safe return to sport/work
✓ Education & pacing — helping you understand symptoms and manage them effectively
The result:
You recover faster, safer, and more completely — with fewer setbacks.
Our approach often integrates Vestibular Physiotherapy to address the underlying causes of post-concussion dizziness
SAFE RETURN-TO-PLAY PROTOCOLS
Getting back to sport too soon risks second impact syndrome. We follow evidence-based, stepwise protocols to ensure you're fully cleared before returning to competition—coordinating with coaches, trainers, and physicians as needed.

Frequently Asked Questions
This is your sub-headline
It depends on severity and your systems affected. Some recover in a week or two; others may need 4–8 weeks of structured rehab.
We use specific return-to-activity steps based on your progress — ensuring you’re symptom-free and cleared before returning.
Yes. We provide in-depth assessments to identify underlying issues and help manage long-term recovery safely.
Rest helps early recovery, but guided rehab retrains your brain and balance systems to fully restore function.
Yes. Concussion rehab is physiotherapy and is covered under most extended health plans.
Concussion management is performed by our certified physiotherapists and is billed as a standard physiotherapy session. This means it is covered by most extended health insurance plans. You can view our current session rates on our Online Booking Page, or our staff would be happy to discuss pricing and insurance direct billing with you over the phone.
While rest is important in the first 24–48 hours, the latest research shows that "cocooning" (prolonged rest in the dark) can actually slow down recovery. Modern concussion rehab involves a guided, active recovery. We help you gradually reintroduce light, sound, and movement to retrain your brain and vestibular system, which is much more effective than rest alone.
Safety is our top priority. We use a Evidence Based Protocol that ensures you are symptom-free during progressive physical exertion before you are cleared for full contact. We provide objective testing and clear communication for coaches and schools, giving you the confidence that it is truly safe to get back in the game.
Yes. If your headaches, brain fog, or dizziness have lasted longer than two weeks, you may be experiencing Post-Concussion Syndrome. We have extensive experience in identifying which system (neck, vision, or vestibular) is causing the lingering symptoms. By targeting the root cause, we can help "restart" the recovery process, even if your injury happened months ago.
